I am a collector of comics published in Britain in the 1970s and 1980s and this blog collects my memories of being a reader of these comics as a child, my observations as a collector today and an attempt to catalogue the comics from a fan’s perspective.

Some of these stories later found homes in Roy of the Rovers in addition to Tiger. He worked for D. C. Thomson & Co. and IPC Magazines in a career that spanned over 30 years, on comics such as Bullet, Scorcher, Hornet, Action, Roy of the Rovers, Victor and Scoop, amongst others.

The Justice Society was established as existing on "Earth-Two" and the Justice League on "Earth-One". This allowed for annual cross-dimensional team-ups of the teams between 1963 and 1985.

It was time for the Roy of the Rovers strip to get its own comic called unsurprisingly Roy of the Rovers. Roy of the Rovers, like Scorcher before it was a mixture of football stories, picture and quizzes. Some of the notable stories in the comic were, Mike’s Mini Men which told the story of a Subuteo football league and Tommy’s Troubles.
